What to write in a graduate CV
Education first
With little work experience, your degree is your strongest point: put it at the top, with your grade if it helps, the university and the dissertation title when it relates to the job. In CV Espresso, move education above experience with the arrows in the “Design” tab.
Internships and summer jobs
An internship is work experience: describe it like a job, with what you did and produced. Summer jobs count too, because they show you are reliable and good with people.
VagueInternship at an accountancy firm.
SpecificPrepared the documents for the expense report of a €150,000 regional grant.
Languages and time abroad
Give your level from A1 to C2 and any certificates, such as IELTS or DELE. Mention an Erasmus semester: it shows you adapt and can work in international teams.
Skills and tools
Name your software and what you can do with it: Excel with pivot tables, a programming language, a design tool. Show personal qualities with a fact, not an adjective.

Frequently asked questions
Should I include my degree grade?
If it helps you, yes, next to the degree. If not, you can leave it out: anyone who needs it will ask.
Is one page enough?
Yes: with little experience, one well-filled page beats two half-empty ones. See also the guide to your first job CV.
