Teacher CV example to fill in

This teacher CV example puts them in order. If a school asks for the European format, switch template in the editor: your details stay the same.

What to write in a teacher CV
Qualifications and subjects
This is the first thing a school checks. Give your degree in full, with grade, university and year, and your teaching qualification with the subjects and age range it covers.
Teaching experience
For each post give the school, the exact dates, the type of contract (permanent, fixed-term, supply) and the weekly hours. Short supply posts in several schools can go in one entry, with the total months.
VagueTeaching experience in various schools.
PreciseOne-year contract teaching Italian, history and geography, 18 hours a week, three classes: preparation for national exams.
Certifications and training
Teaching qualification, special educational needs training, digital and language certifications, postgraduate courses: list them with the awarding body and year, so they can be checked.
Classroom skills
Concrete examples beat generic words: how you plan lessons, which digital tools you use, how you support students with learning difficulties, which projects you have run.
Photo, length and format
Two pages are fine for an experienced teacher. Whether to add a photo depends on the country. If a school or authority asks for the European format, choose it in the “Design” tab.
Frequently asked questions
Is the European format better for schools?
Only if the school or the authority asks for it. Otherwise any clear template works, as long as qualifications and experience are complete.
How do I list lots of short supply posts?
Group them in one entry with the period, the area and the total months of service, then add the most relevant classes or projects.
